Below is a detailed explanation of their construction, classifications, applications, and advantages to provide a deeper understanding of these two types of gabions.

Gabion mesh is a metallic mesh cage structure product woven and assembled from low-carbon steel wires. Its surface is often treated with methods such as galvanization and PVC coating to enhance its performance. According to the material and process, it can be divided into galvanized gabion mesh, zinc-aluminum alloy gabion mesh, PVC coated gabion mesh, etc.; according to the structural form, it includes types such as mesh boxes and mesh mattresses.

Gabion box is a double-twisted steel wire mesh which is interconnected with similar units to form flexible, permeable and monolithic structures such as mass gravity retaining walls, channel linings, revetments and weirs for hydraulic and erosion control projects.

Hexagonal mesh features: strong structure, flat surface, good anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation and other characteristics.
